At Skilled Physicians Group, we believe in the quality of life for both our physician staff and our patients. We have designed a non-traditional physician practice that provides meaningful patient care while also allowing our physician staff to live their best life.

 

We are a mobile practice, focused on patient services in the long-term care setting. We’re publishing journal articles, and constantly striving to find the best practices and techniques for excellent patient care.

As a general surgeon working in the nursing home setting, I realized that there is a better way to practice medicine, while also balancing having a life.

 

In the United States, the average physician works 61 hours a week. At our practice, our physicians work 30-40 hours a week and have time to take care of their personal life.  

 

Our practice started focused on nursing home wound care but has become much more. Over the past 12 years, I realized my patients needed more comprehensive care. Witnessing my own family members suffer falls, be admitted to home care then transfer to nursing homes I found a huge care gap that needs to be filled. The better care coordination and care transitions are, the better my own family and yours will be.
